Our Barn Doors are not just about aesthetics. They come with a safety chain, allowing you to hang them from the light yolk as an architectural detail when they’re not in use. This practical feature not only enhances the look of your space but also ensures the safety of your equipment.
Barn doors narrow the beam spread of a light fixture. They help create a 3-dimensional look to a lighting scheme by placing light in a specific area or keeping it away. The more leaves a barn door has, or the longer the leaves, the more precisely the light beam can be controlled.
* ALL our Barn Doors are from 1950 - 1970, so they are all used and show signs of use. We do our best to clean them up and return them to usable shape. Due to their age and being used professionally for decades, they will show signs of wear and tear. Every barn door is photographed individually, so you are looking at the "Actual Item" you are thinking of buying. A picture is worth 1000 words!
** Please note, our barn doors may have been repainted or given a patina, which makes them no longer viable for the heat output on original, factory-bulb, equipped lights. They are refurbished to go with my “repurposed for home use” lights only. To avoid any inconvenience, I can double-check the fixtures you are interested in to ensure they fit before purchase!
