J. G. McAlister 1940's Hollywood Movie Keg Light: Vintage Theatre Light - Antique Floor Light - Industrial Studio Spot Lamp
Classic film studio light made by J. G. McAlister, Inc. of Hollywood, CA during the Golden Era of film. Repurposed Vintage Hollywood Movie Light rewired with standard Edison E26 socket and bulb to be used as a standing lamp. Light Fixture & Rolling Stand (adjustable height from 4' to 8' feet). Thick metal housing, cast iron details, brass parts, 6" inch Fresnel lens. Entirely refurbished, factory green paint matched while keeping original stickers intact.
Disassembled, Stripped, Restored, & Repurposed. All functions working properly Tilt, Pan, and Spot / Flood [All components historically correct]

Personal Notes:
It is almost unheard of for the factory stickers to be intact on a 60+ year old light fixture, for this reason wet sanding was done around the stickers and a new paint job was color matched. This is as close to a numbers match factory restore as I will probably ever do! I could not help myself though, did strip paint from select key hardware (back to raw metal) making those architectural details pop. Couldn’t help myself, it’s what I do…
